High School Ready
High School Ready is a three week course designed to prepare students for the academic and social realties of high school. Weeks One and Two are dedicated to academic skill building and Week Three is focused on social emotional skills crucial for the start of 9th grade. Classes are live through Zoom and will be recorded for absent students. Each student will have three instructors- one for Math, one for English Language Arts, and one for Social Emotional concepts. Instructors will provide engaging and collaborative lessons that provide students with ample opportunities to participate and ask questions.

- Better prepare for the academic rigor ahead with high school certified instructors.
- Review essential (often-forgotten or never taught) academic concepts prior to the start of the school year.
- Engage in collaborative lessons with other emerging 9th graders.

- Develop the time-management, organization, and communication skills essential for a successful high school experience.

Classes meet from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM, twice a week, for three weeks:
• One week is dedicated to Math, one week is dedicated to English Language Arts, and one week focused on social emotional skills (time management, goal setting, decision-making, communication, etc.)
